The Water Buffalo heifers at Aripo were exposed to the bull when they
attained the weight of 350 kilograms. It was found that they reached
this weight at 21 months of age. Over 75% of the animals exposed to
the bull became pregnant.

Calves were managed under the restricted suckling system to facilitate
milking of dams and collection of milk production data. Calves were
weaned at 4 months at an average weight of 80kg.
